Mr & Mrs Savage

Last month saw Tom & Shannara get married in the beautiful setting of The Barns At Hunsbury Hill in Northampton. Below you'll find a glimpse into their wedding story.

The Details

Shannara chose to get ready at a beautiful lakeside property about twenty minutes from where the ceremony and reception were being held in Northampton. It provided beautiful views of the lake and a stunning backdrop for the morning's events.

As you can see from the pictures Shannara put a lot of time and thought into all the little details, all the bridesmaids had personalised dressing gowns and were gifted beautiful glasses, jewellery and candles when we arrived.

The bride and her mum also had matching mother of the bride and bride robes too, and of course, the hangers for the dresses were beautifully personalised too as you can see in the picture.

There was also a beautiful mini dress chosen for the smallest princess Miss Esme, who was a little star and very excited about being able to wear a pretty dress for her aunt's wedding.

The gorgeous flowers were perfect for a summer wedding, boasting sunflowers and daisies they matched the dresses perfectly.

Getting Ready

From popping open the champagne to seeing the bride in her dress for the first time. Bridal preparation is always an exciting part of the day.

It was great to watch the girls all interact and have fun. If the bride was nervous you'd have never noticed she was the picture of calm.

Little Esme the flower girl was so excited to put on her pretty dress, the look on her face when she finally got to put it on was priceless. She also had a pretty wand to complete the outfit so she was a very happy girl.

The bride's dress was gorgeous, boasting a fishtail design and a lace back. It suited Shannara perfectly, even though she admitted it was exactly the opposite of what she wanted when she first started looking. She fell in love with it the moment she tried it on. Doesn't she look stunning!

The Ceremony

The Romantic Portrait Session

We took a little time out to get some shots of Tom and Shannara, and the grounds at Hunsbury Hill provided a beautiful backdrop.

Aren't they the most beautiful couple!

The Bromance

East Midlands Wedding Photographer - Bride, Groom and best man. Bride & Best man are holding signs that say he's mine in reference to a bromance

Ahhh the bromance...

Kieran and Tom have been best friends since school and share an epic bromance, Shannara wanted to do some fun pictures during the group shots which showed how great they all get on and how close they all are, they had no idea what we had planned but they were both brilliant sports about it.

Kieran even mentioned in his best man speech that both himself and the bride now shared the responsibility of looking after Tom, so  I think this mini photoshoot was a brilliant idea on the brides part.

The Speeches

Speeches were given by the bride's lovely mother, the groom and the two best men... YES two best men, I'm sure it's nerve-wracking enough for the groom when there's one best man speech let alone two but lots of laughs were had as you can see from the pictures there were some brilliant reactions.

The Evening

So we're coming to the end of your little look into Tom & Shannara's big day but it's party time!

After the first dance and the cake cut the party got into full swing, lots of fun was had dancing the night away.
