Valentines Mixtape: Songs from the 1940’s

posted in: Blog | 0

We've reached the 1940's in our vintage valentines day mixtape, *Dances around like no one's watching.* I have to admit this is a little later than I planned because I started watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix and I got hooked, 1920's fashion is just unicorns farting rainbows awesome! 😀

Here's my song selection for this decade, let me know what you think in the comments below.

1. Glenn Miller – In The Mood

First I held him lightly and we started to dance
Then I held him tightly what a dreamy romance
And I said "Hey, baby, it's a quarter to three
There's a mess of moonlight, won't-cha share it with me

2. Les Brown & Doris Day - Sentimental Journey

Gonna take a sentimental journey
Gonna set my heart at ease
Gonna make a sentimental journey
To renew old memories

3. Day by Day

Day by day I'm falling more in love with you
And day by day my love seems to grow
There isn't any end to my devotion
It's deeper dear by far than any ocean

4. Dearly Beloved

Tell me that it's true
Tell me you agree
I was meant for you
You were meant for me

5. Again

Again, this couldn't happen again
This is that once in a lifetime
This is the thrill divine
