*Warning you may be hungry by the end of this post*
So you've booked your venue and your photographer, picked out your dress and sent out your save the date cards.
Now it's time for one of my favourite things CAKE *happy dance*
The great thing about this is you can collaborate with your cake designer and get exactly what you want. Whether that be skulls, steampunk, Disney, Lego or classic with a twist. You can make this truly you, the sky’s the limit!
When it comes to flavours, raspberry and prosecco is proving popular this year... Did you know that was a thing? I didn't, It sounds kinda awesome to me! If your not sure what to have don't panic I'm sure your cake designer will be able to find something you love during your tasting session.
If you're worried because you want a big cake but you're having a small wedding you can always have some dummy tiers, it'll save on waste and you'll still be able to have a show-stopping centrepiece. Alternatively, if you're looking for something completely different what about having a grooms cake? It's very popular in America for the couple to have a smaller cake as well as the main one to show the grooms personality off too.
I've included pictures of designs by Kelly Alger and Claire Potts in this post. Both are award winning in this field, so if you have any questions at all I'm sure they'll be able to help. You can find links to their websites at the bottom of the page.
If you don't fancy having a cake what about a doughnut wall, cheese board, macaron tower or dessert table? You have so many exciting options. I'd love to hear what you're thinking of having in the comments it's your chance to make me hungry now 😀
